Manual Nesting

Manual nesting is designed for entry-level where you can easily create a layout of one particular part or use a drag and drop system to place parts by hand.

Automated Nesting

Automated nesting has a very easy to use interface you can select the parts and quantity’s you wish to nest along with control options for rotation angles, gaps, priorities and a filler part option.

The chosen nesting algorithm will then organise the parts by materials and thicknesses, select the materials and produce the best material yield.

Nesting Algorithims

We support dedicated nesting algorithms for different styles of nesting ranging from rectangular based nesting to highly optimised part placement nesting and common line allowing you to get the best results.

Nesting Sequence

Multiple sequencing options are available and range from the shortest distance, grid, linear and belt sorting being some of the options, you can also break these down and set your own defaults or use the interactive tools to define a manual sequence.

Nest Remnants

If you are running low on parts to fill the sheet then using remnant control you can select a rectangular area, define a detailed area of sheet to save or just let us automatically calculate and store it for you. Next time you run a nest you can simply add the remnant to your nest job and it will automatically be used for the first produced nest.

Punch Conflict Resolution

If you have a low standard turret capacity and need to swap out a lot of tools then the conflict resolution feature is for you. The conflict resolution will look at all the tooled parts and compare them to your standard turret and then optimise the parts so they can be run together, any parts that cannot be converted automatically will then present the user with manual and automated options which would allow your parts to run together improving material yield and throughput.

Laser Sheet Slice

Today’s manufacturing environment has more focus on health and safety and particularly one key area is ergonomics (manual handling). Our nesting has automated and configurable rules for sheet slice, so you can remove the need for an operator to handle a 3000 x 1500 (120” x 60”) skeleton sheet and have it automatically cut into ergonomic sizes whilst featuring options to prevent cutting into or damaging parts and also has some additional sequencing options.

Nest Reports

Nest reports are customisable and can show a range of informative and graphical information from material usage to sheet count and detailed information on the parts used in the nest.

Batch Processing

Save additional time by directly importing geometry files into a nested job and letting the batch tooling loop through all the geometry files you have and tool them up ready for nesting. Once nesting is completed all reports and NC code can be generated from the nest overview screen.
